Deep Roots for Growth

Founded in 1808, Pisgah was here before the City or County of Florence. The landscape has evolved from colonial trails and dirt roads, to a railroad corridor and major highways. Today, the church sits about a mile from the intersection of Interstates 20 and 95. Our mission field is expanding, with the nearby construction of new schools and residential development.

As the congregation continues to thrive and evolve, we appreciate its deep spiritual roots. And roots always serve one purpose: to provide for new growth.

United Methodist

As United Methodists, we also have deep denominational roots of theology, tradition, and mission. Our church is “Connectional,” meaning that every United Methodist Church (UMC) shares common teaching, resources, outreach, leadership, and accountability. We’re a global church with almost 13 million members in some 40 countries. Find out more at umc.org.
